Ingredients for Creamy Spinach Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp Olive Oil
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
2 Cups Fresh Spinach, washed and chopped
1 Cup Heavy Cream
½ Cup Chicken Broth
½ Cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp Dried Thyme
½ tsp Dried Basil
½ tsp Dried Oregano
Red Chilli Flakes ( optional)
Fresh Parsley, chopped, for garnish

Method for cooking Creamy Spinach Chicken:

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add the chopped spinach to the skillet. Cook and stir until the spinach wilts, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, dried thyme, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, placing them in the creamy spinach mixture. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  • Serve the creamy spinach chicken over rice, pasta, or with a side of your choice.

Enjoy your creamy spinach chicken!
