Ingredients:
White Sesame Seeds (Til): 1 cup |
Jaggery (Gur): 3/4 cup, grated or finely chopped |
Ghee: 1 tablespoon |
Cardamom Powder: 1/2 teaspoon |
Water: 2 tablespoons |
Method:
Roast Sesame Seeds: In Vardaan’s Stainless Steel Frying pan, dry roast sesame seeds on medium heat until they turn golden and aromatic. Remove and let them cool.
Prepare Jaggery Syrup: In the same pan, add ghee and jaggery. Add water and melt the jaggery on a low flame until it forms a thick syrup. To test, drop a little syrup in water; it should form a soft ball.
Mix Sesame Seeds: Turn off the heat and quickly add roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup. Mix well.
Shape Laddoos: Grease your palms with a little ghee. While the mixture is still warm, shape it into small round laddoos.
Cooling: Allow the laddoos to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
Serving:
Enjoy these Til Laddoos as a sweet snack or as part of festive celebrations, especially during Makar Sankranti.
